A premium calendar that earns its subscription on natural-language entry, openings, and proposals.
For most people who live in their calendar — booking meetings, juggling time zones, sharing availability — Fantastical is the answer because three features stand out: natural-language event creation ("Lunch with Sam Friday at noon at Tartine" actually parses), Openings (your own scheduling links without paying for Calendly separately), and Proposals (send a few times to a non-Fantastical user and let them pick). It's beautiful, fast, and supports every account type. The catch: it's a subscription now, and the free tier is intentionally limited. If you want capable and free, the built-in Apple Calendar (or Google Calendar on Android) is genuinely fine. If you specifically need calendar + meeting links + agenda for work, Cron (now Notion Calendar) is excellent and free.
